About Anne

Anne Gleeson lives in the town of Terang in the Western District of Victoria, Australia. Her life is finely balanced between her passions of funeral care and writing.

Poetry is her great love. Her three poetry books In between the dancing, Maisie and the Black Cat Band and Small Acts of Purpose were published by Interactive Press and can be purchased from them or via this website.

Anne’s essays have been published in the major Australian newspapers and literary journals. She is currently working on a collection of these.

Sometimes Anne writes stories or articles for more popular magazines or special interest journals.

Anne loves engaging with an audience and will happily present on any or combined aspects of her work in the writing, educational or funeral worlds. “A born storyteller and teacher, Anne’s gift with words and people, shines through every performance.”
